Terms of use

These terms apply to the free hosted ShadowTMS service at mcp.shadowtms.ai. They do not apply to the code, which has its own license.

Version 1. Last changed: 2026-10-25.

1. The service

ShadowTMS checks translations that your AI agent makes and records hashes of them, so that your agent can write them back and later translate only changed text. The hosted service is free. We can change it, limit it or stop it at any time, with or without notice.

2. Your account

You sign in through our identity provider. You are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete your account at any time; see the privacy statement.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to your documents and translations. The service does not store them; see the privacy statement. You must have the right to send your content to the service and to translate it.

Your agent and its model make the translations, not ShadowTMS. You are responsible for checking them before you publish them.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for unlawful content or activity.
  • Do not try to get access to other users' data, or to parts of the service that are not for you.
  • Do not overload the service, and do not try to go around its quotas and rate limits.

We can suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules.

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service is available, correct or free of errors, or that it keeps any record.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent that the law permits, we are not liable for any damages that come from your use of the service or from your inability to use it, including lost data, lost profits and damage to your documents.

7. The code

The ShadowTMS code is open source under the Apache License 2.0. That license, not these terms, controls your use of the code. You can run the code on your own infrastructure; then these terms do not apply.

8. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. When we do, we give them a new version number and date on this page. Your harness asks you to accept the new version before you use the service again.
